Buskers of Pitt Street Mall (Sydney, Australia)

Named after Angelina Jolie's partner? Or the former British Prime Minister William Pitt, the first Earl of Chatham (1708-1778) who ruled during the establishment of Sydney?

Neither.

Pitt Street got its name as reference to the colony's first supply of clean water in the 1700s - the "pits" excavated in 1791 to make up the Tank Steam.

The photo above features an immensely entertaining street musician named Jack (strumming his guitar), performing before a small crowd in busy Pitt Street Mall, a pedestrianized section of Pitt Street, between Market and King Streets, in the bustling CBD. Jack was irresistible, I had to stay on to listen to him play 3 songs before I walked away. An older gentleman (right side, in a blue shirt and a jacket), with very awkward, albeit charming moves, kept dancing around the buskers; I initially thought he was crazy. Before I left, I bought Jack's $10 CD which, to be honest, wasn't as impressive as Jack's live performance.

Sometimes while on the road, our senses are heightened, and we get to appreciate the seemingly mundane activities. This renders us more sensitive towards our surroundings. It helps shape us to be better versions of ourselves.

This is the Eye in the Sky!
