Untitled
What if I held you
And you ever so subtly let go?
What if I carried you
And you turned away?
What if I smiled so meekly
And you shut your eyes
Until there's none
I shall linger in ubiquity
Like the mist that never wets your skin.
One day, I shall abandon
all thoughts
of you
that gratingly pervade in the recesses of my mind.
But I shall be grateful
that you were
once
inside my head.
